Dialoog @ VU

Aureus is affiliated to dialoog@vu.nl; a partnership between VU University Amsterdam, Anatolia, VSSA and EOS. Dialoog@vu.nl is a platform with an active interest in bringing students from various student groupings within VU University Amsterdam together, whereby the multicultural spirit and dialogue play a central role. This platform organizes numerous events in support of its principles, such as a conference on diversity, an Iftar feast on de Dam, Lesser Eid at VU University Amsterdam, and a parent day aimed at parents of first generation foreign students.

Jonge Bazen

Jonge Bazen is a blog run by Bert Overbeek, a member of the Aureus Advisory Board. It is a weblog written by managers in the 25 to 35 age bracket, in which practical experiences are shared and discussed, making it a useful read for students. Jonge Bazen is not interested in becoming a platform that showcases success stories and glittering CVs in order to boost the writers’ egos. Instead, it publishes accounts of the doubts, bloopers and complications experienced by these young (and old) bosses in the wonderful world of management, making it a much more interesting (and enjoyable) read.

VUconnected

Aureus works with VU Connected, a dynamic national network set up to link science, knowledge and experience to up-to-date social issues. We view society from four different angles: Economics, Living Together, Health and Sustainability. Each of these angles features its own areas of tension: Economics encompasses more than just money. Living Together is a continual learning process. Health is actually about ‘dignified’ care. And Sustainability expresses a desire for a living environment that really is sustainable. VU Connected gives the human scale a voice, as in the search for the meaning of life and things. What do you think? How do you view society?

ACE@VU

Aureus Works alongside ACE@VU. The Amsterdam Centre for Entrepreneurship is a partnership between the various centres for entrepreneurship based at VU University Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam University of Applied Science, INHolland Amsterdam/Diemen University of Applied Science and the Science Park Amsterdam. ACE’s mission is to promote the entrepreneurial climate in the Amsterdam region by encouraging entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial practice among students in Amsterdam, and by conducting research that will reinforce successful entrepreneurship in the Netherlands.
